About Jamie

International award winning designer and author Jamie Durie started his design practice 19 years ago in February 1998. Since then he and his team at Durie Design have received over 33 international design awards including a gold medal at the Chelsea flower show in London and further gold medals received in Singapore, Tokyo, Auckland NZ, Melbourne, and Durie’s place of birth, Sydney.

In 2001 Durie made his debut into furniture design when he and his team were asked to design various pieces of custom furniture for several upmarket hotels and resorts first in Spain, with several more in Asia, Australia and the Middle East. After launching several design collaborations in Europe his furniture his furniture is now retailed worldwide. The design practice was born in the field of landscape architecture giving the firm the foundation of its design philosophy; a sophisticated blend of the natural form and clean-line geometry, affectionately titled RAW LUXURY. Durie Design has evolved today into a multi-disciplinary design practice in areas of architecture, interior architecture, landscape, and Durie’s greatest passion, furniture design.

Durie’s first furniture collection was designed and created over a decade ago in 2003 and has since retailed in over 200 department stores throughout Australia. After a successful launch into Europe, Durie’s collections continue to sell today in over 16 countries with his latest Hugo collection for Italian outdoor furniture manufacturer Unopiù launching at Salone del Mobile, Milan in April 2018
